POETRY 101 WORKBOOK MANUAL highlights only the relevant areas for writing or crafting poems that would be considered for publishing. Such areas are: Subject, Tone, and Narrative, Tuning in to Language, The Art of Interpretation, Gathering the Tools You Need, Writing Open-Form Poetry and Working with Traditional Forms of Verse. It includes a number of activities in each module as well as an entire chapter entitled, “Additional Exercises for Poets”, all designed to assist participants to ensure they gain the full benefit of creative poetry writing. Additionally, the vast number of activities are so designed to trigger their personal capabilities and not simply be recipients of knowledge. It is a workbook manual; therefore, handwritten responses are required for each activity. This publication is part of a series to ensure participants are fully equipped, as they begin to engage in academic material to improve themselves in all facets of their lives.
