The Synoptic Gospels LECTURE NOTES assist lecturers and participants in their exploration of the Synoptic Gospels—Matthew, Mark and Luke from the Holy Bible—and highlights what scholars refer to as the “Synoptic Problem”, using a hypothetical theory called the “Q” and the possibility of the Gospel of Mark being misplaced, it being the earlier of all to be documented. The manual also has the Gospel of John in relation to the Synoptics. The author does not in any way take any credit for the arguments or narratives found in this manual, instead, he credits the activities, which are so formulated to provide further scholarly investigation of the cases and arguments raised. They provide an avenue for participants to study the Synoptic Gospels in a manner that they would have never thought possible. The activities provide an avenue for participants to critically analyze these Gospels and document their findings with the hope of a better understanding of the literature. It is a workbook manual; therefore, handwritten and typed responses are required for each activity. This publication is part of a series to ensure participants are fully equipped in their quest to learn.
